01The Standard

The standard that travels the whole food chain.

ISO 22000 applies to every organisation in the food chain, from primary production and processing to packaging, transport, retail and catering.

ISO 22000:2018 sets the requirements for a Food Safety Management System (FSMS). It combines interactive communication, system management, prerequisite programmes and HACCP principles into a single auditable framework.

Certification is the independent confirmation that your FSMS meets those requirements. It is not a hygiene certificate. It is evidence that hazards are identified, controlled at defined critical points, and verified against an international benchmark.

03Why T4C

A certification body that values your time.

Three commitments that shape how we work, every audit, every client, every time.

Independence you can prove

As an accredited certification body, we are bound by impartiality rules. We audit your system, we do not consult on it. That separation is what makes the certificate worth issuing.

Speed without shortcuts

Streamlined onboarding, digital documentation handling, and tight audit planning compress timelines without compromising the depth of assessment. Quotes in 48 hours, audits scheduled to your calendar.

Recognition that travels

Backed by LABOR S.A., a Greek leader in conformity assessment with European Notified Body status (NB 2537). Your certificate carries credibility across EU markets and beyond.

04What You Gain

The business case for ISO 22000.

Certification is not paperwork, and it is not a wall plaque. Here is what changes inside your organisation, and outside it, once your FSMS is certified.

01

Meet retailer and export requirements

Major retailers, distributors and export markets treat recognised food safety certification as a condition of listing rather than a differentiator.

02

Control hazards at the right points

HACCP discipline forces you to identify where contamination can actually occur, and to prove that the control at that point works.

03

Cut recall and withdrawal exposure

Traceability, verification records and tested withdrawal procedures shorten the response and limit the scope when something goes wrong.

04

Satisfy auditors with one system

A single FSMS answers customer audits, regulatory inspections and internal reviews without rebuilding the evidence each time.

05

Protect the brand you have built

Food safety failures are public and they travel fast. Documented control is the difference between a contained incident and a headline.

06

Bring suppliers up to your standard

Prerequisite programmes and supplier controls push your requirements upstream, where a large share of contamination risk originates.

05Sectors We Certify

From offer acceptance to certificate issuance, expect 6 to 12 weeks for most small and mid-sized operators with a functioning FSMS and hazard analysis already in place. The variables are the number of sites, the number of product and process categories in scope, and how quickly any Stage 1 findings are closed out.

The price depends on the size of your organisation, the number of sites, and the number of food categories and processes in scope. We quote per organisation rather than from a price list, and the offer covers the full three-year cycle including surveillance audits, so there are no surprises later.

No, and that is by design. Accreditation rules and impartiality requirements explicitly prohibit a certification body from consulting on the system it later audits. We assess your FSMS, we do not design it. If you need implementation support, engage an independent consultant. Keeping those roles separate is precisely what makes the certificate worth holding.

ISO 22000 certificates are valid for three years. During that period we conduct annual surveillance audits to confirm the FSMS continues to operate effectively and that your hazard analysis remains current. A recertification audit takes place before the three years expire.

Certificates are issued under the accreditation scope of LABOR S.A., the parent organisation behind T4C. LABOR S.A. has operated as a Greek leader in testing, inspection, and certification since 1996 and holds European Notified Body status (NB 2537). T4C is the streamlined, modern face of that established conformity-assessment capability.

Yes. If you hold a valid ISO 22000 certificate from another accredited body, we can transfer it to our scope after a streamlined review of your existing documentation, your most recent audit reports, and any open findings. Your existing certification cycle and surveillance dates are normally preserved.

Audits happen in two stages. Stage 1 is a readiness review, on site or remote, covering your hazard analysis, prerequisite programmes, scope and management structure. Stage 2 is the full assessment: we sample operational control at critical control points, monitoring and verification records, traceability, withdrawal procedures, internal audits and management review. If you already hold ISO 9001, or want it, both standards can be assessed in a single combined audit.
